WordPress Site Menu

This website question was asked in a comment by someone from LinkWheels:

“Hello. This is kind of an “unconventional” question , but have other visitors asked you how get the menu bar to look like you’ve got it? I also have a blog and am really looking to alter around the theme, however am scared to death to mess with it for fear of the search engines punishing me. I am very new to all of this …so i am just not positive exactly how to try to to it all yet. I’ll just keep working on it one day at a time Thanks for any help you can offer here.”

I don’t mind answering this question at all! I was told by another wordpress friend of mine to try out the wordpress menu manager plugin.

I installed one to try it out, and it took a lot of CSS tweaking within the plug-in to get it to look the way I wanted it. If you have a self-hosted wordpress site, and know CSS well enough, I highly recommend checking it out! I’ve built menus by hand, but this one is nice for a “quick fix”. You may not want to use it for a highly in-depth website, because it only goes 3 deep. ( I think. ) Anyways, it’s faster than building the code by hand. Hope that helps!

UPDATE: Since WordPress v. 3.0 was released menus are part of the package.
